NEW TO ANDERSON ISLAND CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP?

We are family!

  • Attire – Our fellowship attire is casual – to – dressy casual. You will see most folks dressed in jeans, t-shirts & sandals, or casual slacks with polo/golf shirts. Some gals wear dresses or blouses & skirts. A few men wear dress shirts w/ or w/o ties.  Whatever you wear, we welcome you!  Our focus is not on outward appearance in our worship, but rather on our inward position – hearts responding to God in worship.

  • Music  –   Our songs are easy enough for children to sing, yet meaningful to the most mature in our congregation.   We embrace a mix of styles from classic hymns & choruses to contemporary praise & worship songs.  This combination of styles enables believers of all ages and backgrounds to relate to the music. The lyrics express the hearts of believers in every season of life – through difficult trials, joyous victories and responding to God’s character & blessings.  You will find the words to the songs projected onto the front wall of the sanctuary. Our simple worship ensemble, made up of piano, bass, guitar & singers, provides a lively atmosphere with a volume level that is easy on the ears. We stand during some songs, and we sit during some, though there is complete freedom for you to sit if you prefer.  Sometimes there is hand clapping, hand raising, an occasional “Amen” or even a “Woo Hoo”!  In all that we do, we endeavor to bring glory, honor and attention to the Lord and not to ourselves as individuals.

  • Communion – We practice open communion on the first Sunday of every month.  You need not be a member of our church to participate.   If you are a member of the body of Christ, we encourage you to join us as we commemorate the Lord’s Supper.

  • Testimony & Prayer – We occasionally have open mic for members of our congregation to share their testimonies of God’s recent work in their lives and also their significant prayer requests.  This unique time of communication presents an authentic reflection of God & His Word living through His followers.  It provides significant encouragement for all who hear.

  • Children –    Children worship with us during the first half of the service, so they can experience being a part of the extended church family.   After our worship in song, testimony and prayer time, children K-5 are released to Children’s Church.  We have a loving nursery care available throughout the service for your convenience.

  • Offering –   Giving of our tithes & offerings is part of our worship service.  We do not want you to feel obligated to participate in the offering.  It is meant for those who consider AICF their church home.

  • Bible Teaching –   Pastor Brad teaches from the Bible, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, examining the scripture for its historical context and meaning, while helping us learn how to apply it to our daily lives.
