SENIOR PASTOR

Brad Fogal – Senior Pastor bfogal@gmail.com

Brad and his wife, Margie, came to Anderson Island in August 2018, having served in the Southern California area in full-time ministry for over 35 years. They have 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren. After Bible college Brad attended seminary where he earned both a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education and a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Theology. His love, knowledge, and commitment to Him has only deepened over the years, and he is passionate in his love and service for Him because of the grace, forgiveness and love demonstrated so powerfully through the Lord Jesus Christ’s life and death on the cross.

ELDERS

Vernal Wilkinson –  Christian Education    vmwilkies@msn.com
Vernal and his wife, Cindy, moved to AI in 2012 and joined AICF shortly afterward.  They have 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  After teaching public school for a few years, Vernal and Cindy served as field missionaries with Village Missions, then as District Representatives for 15 years before retiring.  Cindy leads a Bible Study Fellowship group, likes entertaining, hospitality and crafts.  Vernal enjoys fishing and golf.  Together, they enjoy gardening and home remodel projects.  Vernal has been an elder at AICF since 2014 and served as interim pastor for 3 years.

      

Hank Hollenbaugh  –  Building & Grounds    hhank59@hotmail.com
Hank was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, PA.  He joined the USAF in 1959.  Married for 45 years to his beloved Faye Lynn, they raised 6 children together.  Hank, Faye Lynn and their 2 youngest daughters spent 7 years in Mexico helping to build an orphanage, a six-room schoolhouse, medical & dental clinics and also worked with a food bank.  In 1991, Hank & Faye Lynn moved to Anderson Island. He built their house and worked at the Island General Store for 17 years.  They joined AICF around 1996 and he became an Elder in 1998.  Now retired, he plays golf, does wood working, runs the Island food bank through his garage and enjoys helping others in anyway that he can.

 

Jay Wiggins –   Internal Operations    w98303@yahoo.com
Jay and his wife, Katrina, have lived on the island since 1980, where they raised their 4 children.  They have been actively involved in AICF since its inception. Jay serves the island as the Assistant Fire Chief, while Trina volunteers in a variety of ways in the community and in the church. 

Jeff Gillette  – Missions    toachjg@gmail.com
Jeff and his wife Joyce have been living the island life since 1979. Their 3 children were all raised here and a new crop of grandchildren are learning to skip rocks on the island shores. They have been members of this church body since they arrived here and Jeff now serves as the Elder overseeing Missions. The Gillettes ran the island general store as a family business and community hub from 1979 to 2009. Since selling the store, Jeff has been employed by Young Life overseeing the team that serves Anderson Island.

Mike Fotheringill – Finance & Budget

Mike retired from a banking career after which he spent several years in the ministry in the US and Africa. He and his wife, Diana, love their life on Anderson Island, made complete by extraordinary friends, a wide variety of service opportunities and a strong and active faith community. In their combined family they have 4 children and 10 grandchildren.

Terry and his wife, Dawn, moved to Anderson Island in 2008. Their son, Aaron, and his wife, Jen, have three children. Terry worked and retired from Boeing.  He was an elder at E. V. Free Church in Enumclaw, which he and Dawn helped establish, and ran 'Care Ministries' for 5 years, helping low income families with house repairs.  They also led youth groups and taught numerous bible studies. Terry is currently helping with AICF Adult Education, and Dawn leads a Bible Study Fellowship group, is the Finance Officer for the local American Legion and works the sound system for AICF.  She enjoys gardening, reading, painting, and crafts, while Terry enjoys welding and tinkering in his shed.  They both love spending time together and helping others.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Eileen Laskowski      ejlasko@gmail.com 

Eileen is a native Washingtonian and married husband Phil in 1979.  They raised their three sons in the Lake Tapps area, where Eileen worked over 28 years as an office manager/administrator. They love spending time with their kids and eight grandkids. After retiring Eileen and Phil moved to their home on Lake Florence. They’ve attended AICF off and on before moving to the Island, and became members in 2021. They are loving Island life and serving in our wonderful church. Eileen is involved in Bible Study Fellowship as well as being a member of the worship team.

Tim Kobernik - Missions timskier@gmail.com

Tim and Beth Kobernik have been full time residents of Anderson Island and AICF members since 2006.  Tim was career Navy prior to that, serving both internationally and in the US, and in each location he and Beth found opportunity to serve in local churches. They enjoy hobbies of traveling, gardening, skiing, boating, and hosting friends and family, including 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Tim works part-time as a family doctor, and Beth volunteers with Young Life, a ministry to teens.

 

Sheryle Jaschke - Hospitality shetorama@hotmail.com

Sheryle grew up in San Diego, and she and her husband Richard have been a part of the AICF church family for the past 7 years.  In fact, she was invited to our church by a child, and then soon came to faith in Jesus here.  She and Richard owned and operated 2 Sears stores before they retired. They have 2 daughters and 5 grandkids. Sheryle loves gardening, cooking, travel and scuba diving in the Caribbean.
